2008 Sponsors of the Champaign County Goat Council

The Champaign County Goat Council would like to express our sincere thanks to the following list of sponsors who have donated to our council so far this year. Without our sponsors, we would not be successful in our various events. We are working hard to bring in money to help our youth at the fair and throughout the year with their goat projects. Here is your opportunity to help support our 4H & FFA youth who take goat projects, market or dairy, to the Champaign County Fair. Many new goat pens were purchased last year, and the goat council is partnering with the fair board to get the pens paid for. You can help support the youth and the fair by sponsoring a pen. There are different levels of financial support offered to give sponsors a choice, and regardless - all support is greatly appreciated! Click here to access a sponsor form. Print it out and mail it along with your donation to the address shown on the form. The goat council will collect the donations for payment to the fair board. On behalf of our youth, we would like to thank everyone for their support of the council and fair. We have one of the best fairs around, and your support will help us to continue with that tradition. The Champaign County Goat Council was established in 2004 at the request of our 4-H agent to help with our local youth exhibitors at the fair. We have developed into much more than that. We develop our youth in 4H & FFA groups by offering hands on Educational and Junior Leadership programs. We support local breeders in promoting goats, by partnering in local sales and shows. We host a sanctioned show to welcome and help promote all breeders in and out of our community. We have also incorporated a Jr. Goat Council for our youth.

The Junior Goat Council is for youth ages 10-18, and meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm, at the Champaign County Community Center. The adult Goat Council meeting immediately follows at 7:00pm at the CCCC. We welcome all breeders, parents and all other interested parties to join our efforts in order to support the Goat Industry as well as support our Youth.
